WILMINGTON, NC - The Landfall Foundation today (Nov. 9, 2004) presented checks to 47 agencies to fund projects in the greater Wilmington area totaling $131,827. In its eighth year of making grants, the foundation was able to substantially exceed the $108,212 made in grants to 47 projects in 2003.
In addition to the grants presented, the foundation recognized recipients of the 2004-2005 class of Landfall Foundation Scholars attending UNC Wilmington, Cape Fear Community College, and Brunswick Community College. The charitable foundation was formed in 1996 to establish a community support effort specifically originating from the residents of Landfall.
