Pre-registration will begin July 1st and close November 7th, 2008.
There will be an opportunity for walk-ins to register on Race Day, space available, during check-in from 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m.
Entry Fees:
5K Fun Run: Registrations received by October 17th: $25 (t-shirts, medallions, and gift bags are guaranteed). Registrations received after October 17th: $30 (t-shirts, medallions and gift bags will be limited to remaining stock).
2K Fun Walk: Registrations received by October 17th: $5 (t-shirts, medallions, and gift bags are guaranteed). Registrations received after October 17th: $7 (t-shirts, medallions, and gift bags limited to remaining stock).
All entry fees are tax deductible. All participants will receive a receipt the day of the race that will act as your tax donation record.
Entry fees are non-refundable. Envelopes must be postmarked by October 17th for pre-registration pricing!
Course Location:
5K Fun Run starting and finish lines will be in the Scrimshaw cul-de-sac behind the Landfall Clubhouse. (Please park in the Landfall Clubhouse parking lot.) Runners will proceed up Scrimshaw, right onto Deer Island, left onto South Moorings, left onto Black Chestnut turn around in cul-de-sac and return to make a left on South Moorings, left onto Deer Island, and right onto Scrimshaw.
2K Fun Walk (1.2 miles) starting and finishing lines will be in the cul-de-sac of Scrimshaw Place. Runner will run up Scrimshaw, take a right onto Deer Island Drive, turn around at South Moorings Drive and return to Scrimshaw.
Awards:
5K Fun Run: Fastest Overall Male/Female. First, Second, and Third Place finishers for Male/Female per age group; ages 12 & Under, 13-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Photo op for all award winners with the local media.
2K Fun Walk: Photo Op for First, Second and Third place finishers with the local media.
Finish, Timing:
This is a road-sanctioned event and times will be recorded using a timing chip system. Unofficial times will be available at the finish line. Official times will be posted as results become available. Timing chips will be collected at the finish line. Failure to return chip will result in a $30 charge.
Rules:
No 2-wheeled bikes, scooters, rollerblades, skateboards, pets, or headphones please. Strollers and tricycles are permitted for the 2K Fun Walk.
Children under the age of 18 must have a parent sign their registration form. Children under the age of 8 must have an adult present at the race.
