This is a Boston Marathon Qualifying Race and is a USATF certified course.

We hope all Wilmington residents will embrace this incredible opportunity by participating in some way. Many volunteers will be needed and spectators will be encouraged to cheer the racers.

COURSE LOCATION
Click here to view the course map. Runners will start on Salisbury Street on Wrightsville Beach at 6:30 a.m. and begin entering the Arboretum gate around 7 a.m. The race will occur primarily on Arboretum and Pembroke Jones. The runners will exit Eastwood Gate and the Half Marathoners will complete their run in Mayfaire Town Center. The Full Marathon runners will return to Arboretum gate and repeat the course through Landfall. The last runner will exit the Eastwood Gate just before 11 a.m. and also finish in Mayfaire.
BENEFICIARIES
Proceeds of the race will primarily benefit the Landfall Foundation. In other words, all the proceeds will be used to support Wilmington charities.
Also, the exposure of a nationally recognized race will be highly beneficial to the greater Wilmington area, local merchants and businesses, and our community.

Latest News...
February 13th, 2010. As of today, there are 382 full and 1250 half marathoners. The half is now sold out and race organizers are hopeful the full will sell out too. As a courtesy, Landfall residents who still haven’t signed up will only be charged the early registration fee.
Race Expo. The Expo is being held from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th at the Shell Island Resort. The Expo will host all packet-pick ups for runners but anyone is invited to attend and purchase Marathon apparel and goods.
Pasta Dinner*. CCL is offering a carb-loading Pasta Dinner at the Landfall Clubhouse to all residents, members, runners and their families the night before the race, Saturday, March 20th .
Spectator Viewing & Race Day Breakfast*. A race viewing area is being organized on the corner of Drysdale & Pembroke Jones. In conjunction, CCL is offering a “To-Go Breakfast” served out of the Sports Center Café for all spectators. Coffee and pastries will also be available for purchase a la carte.
