Estimates of over $1M was brought into our community as a result of the race. Hotels were sold out and restaurants and retailers were busier than usual on an otherwise slow weekend in March.
Our theme was a huge hit with over 15 alumni organizations manning aid stations, including but not limited to UNC, NCSU, Duke, UNCW, Georgia, and Clemson.
Race proceeds primarily benefit the Landfall Foundation. All monies recieved by the foundation are granted to Wilmington charities.
THANK YOU LANDFALL!!!
Our warmest thanks to all who came out to cheer the runners. YOU made this event a success!!!
Over 100 Landfall residents were out between 6:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. acting as Directional Volunteers and keeping runners safe while running through Landfall. A huge thank you to all who participated!

Nineteen CERT team members manned 9 critical intersections in Landfall. We are grateful for your participation, expertise and professionalism! Thank you to Cherry Tyde and Bob Mitchell who put this team together.
Thank you to the board and staff of the Landfall CoA. Your support and guidance was crucial to the success of the race. Specifically thank you to Steve Hughes, Sandy Slocum, and Russell James for your assistance and guidance.
Landfall Realty, Presenting Sponsor, was out in force at the first aid station and provided the perfect, welcoming gateway into our home.
And of course, thank you to all Landfall residents and the members and staff of the Country Club of Landfall who so graciously allowed us to inconvenience them.
THANK YOU 2011 MARATHON COMMITTEE MEMBERS
And of course, none of this was possible without the incredible dedication and tireless efforts of a small but profoundly capable group of volunteers. It was a pleasure to work with you.
