Supporting Wilmington Charities

Image descriptionWelcome

The Landfall Foundation was formed to support Wilmington charities.  It has allowed the Landfall community an opportunity to make a valuable contribution to our city by distributing grants to smaller organizations that are often under funded.  Although small, these local charities and causes meet broad and vital community needs.

Since its start in 1996, the Foundation has raised and contributed $1,627,000 to Wilmington organizations. In 2008, $221,000 was distributed between 52 grant recipients such as Good Shepherd, Guardian Ad Litem, Lower Cape Fear Hospice, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, Domestic Violence Shelter and Services, Habitat for Humanity, Coastal Horizons Center - Rape Crisis Center, Children's Home Society, Bellamy Mansion Museum, DREAMS Center for Arts Education, Cape Fear Museum of History and Science, Cameron Art Museum, Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, and the list goes on!

How You Can Help

Image descriptionClick here to sign up for the July 4th Family Fun Run>>

Simply by participating in a Landfall Foundation hosted event, you will be helping Wilmington charities. Your participation is greatly needed to continue the support. Ticket prices for each event represent a contribution to the fund and are therefore either wholly or mostly tax-deductible. The Foundation also accepts donations from individuals, in any amount, at any time.

The Foundation relies solely upon your donations and participation to raise funds.

The Foundation’s 2009 season succesfully kicked off with a "Beat The Winter Blues" party on February 27. The 13th Annual Gala, Triskaidekaphobia, was held on April 25th. The Annual Art Show is set for September 18-20 and will be juried this year. In addition to the July 4th Family Fun Run, plans are underway for a 10K/5K Run with a 2K Walk on October 10th. You can register to attend by clicking on an event listed on the right.

Together, we make a bigger impact—please help support Wilmington charities by making a contribution to the Landfall Foundation.
