Our Story - Celebrating Over 25 Years of Giving
The Landfall Foundation was formed as a means for Landfall residents to thoughtfully and confidently extend support to greater Wilmington area non-profit organizations. Grants are awarded after our Grants Committee evaluates applications for projects and programs in the areas of the arts, education, health and welfare. This valuable contribution to smaller organizations, that are often underfunded, makes a major impact on the vital needs of our community.
On November 7, the Landfall Foundation distributed $575,000 in grant checks for projects at 112 local nonprofits and schools. Earlier this year, the Foundation awarded $100,000 in Capital Grants to another 5 organizations. To date, the Foundation has distributed over $8 million since its inception in 1995.
Grants were awarded to nonprofits in three categories—the Arts, Education and Health & Welfare as follows: 22 Arts grants totaling $124,198, $252,640 for Health & Welfare grants went to 55 non profits, and $198,162 was distributed among 35 organizations in the Education category.
